My April Fools’ joke backfired!

 

I think April Fools’ Day is becoming one of my favorite holidays.. so many opportunities to set up a fun prank to make someone smile! :)

My target for this year was my husband. My kiddos (2 years and 9 months) will be included next year, now that I’ll be planning. :)

The picture above was my first setup. I put a rubber band on the sink sprayer, so that when my husband turned the water on, he’d get soaked. (Muahahahah!)

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. My hubby’s got cat-like reflexes, so he dodged the water before it even got him. Booger! :)

I, on the other hand, am a little slow– in reflexes and thought, apparently! About half an hour later, I walked over to the sink, turned it on, and of course got soaked! I got myself worse than I got my hubby!

Even though my prank didn’t go as planned, we both got a big smile out of it. :)

Happy Easter, friends!

This weekend is full of lots of fun things for my family! I hope it’s fun for your family too! :)

We had an Easter egg hunt and horse ride at our local horse stables this morning, where we spotted the cute cowboy doggy above. This afternoon we get to decorate Easter eggs and make our annual bunny cake. And then tonight, we get to start a new tradition this year.. we’re going to make Resurrection Cookies (also known as Easter Story cookies). We’ll also being going to church either tonight or tomorrow (Easter morning) and that day will be filled with lots of fun, too.

Man’s best friend


After her fun ride in the car seat (see here), Lady went to visit one of her best friends, my Uncle Bill. My Uncle Bill is one of the kindest and funniest guys you could ever meet! He’s also mentally disabled and has many health issues. But all of his troubles disappear the moment Lady jumps on his lap! The smile on his face is priceless. She loves him and he loves her.

Sometimes the best medicine and the greatest joy is the love of a dog. :)

Car seat doggy

 

I went to visit my Gramma today, and I took my doggies with me. They usually ride in the back part of our car, but today, since my kiddos weren’t in the car with us, they decided to jump over the seat and into the empty car seats. It made me laugh! Once I parked, one of my dogs jumped out, but the other one, Lady (in the picture above), stayed so I snapped a quick picture. Hope it makes you smile!
